WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF THE VESSELS NOT LOOKING GOOD IN THE SIMULATOR?
The most common cause is the absence or loss of artificial blood within the lumen of the vessels. The solution is to recharge the vessels with Biotme® artificial blood, through the valves carried by the simulators. Take care to eliminate the air inside the channel of the vessel.
HOW MANY PUNCTURES CAN BE PRACTICED IN SAEMS?
It will depend on the size of the simulator, but as a general rule and due to the structure of our material, more than 1,000 punctures, as long as needles with a lower caliber than 18G are used.
WHICH SIMULATOR SHOULD I USE TO PERFORM TECHNIQUES THAT REQUIRE SYSTEMS WITH A METALLIC STRUCTURE?
For this type of practice, SAEM Biotme® should be used, specially designed for them, which avoid the damage of the gel used in the construction of our simulators.
WHAT IS THE CONSISTENCY OF SAEM?
The Biotme® company has managed to manufacture simulators with a structure similar to that of the human body. The sensation of puncture in the skin and in the vessels, reproduces in a very real way, which we perceive, when practicing this type of techniques in our patients.
ARE SAEM GLASSES PRESSIBLE?
The structure of the vessels is depressible and reproduces the human anatomy. Simulators have been built with specific pathologies (thrombosis, atheroma plaques, extrinsic compression), which present an image and response to compression with the ultrasound probe similar to that of the real patient.
